Vial of John Paul II’s Blood ‘Stolen by Satanists’

A vial containing the late Pope John Paul II’s blood has been stolen from a small church in central Italy along with a cross, according to reports.

The tube contained bloodied clothing from the botched assassination attempt on the Pope , and is  one of only three known vials containing the blood of the Polish Pope, who is expected to be declared a saint in a ceremony at the Vatican on 27 April.
They are considered to be of great religious significance. but this  is not the first time one of them has been stolen. In 2012 a priest travelling north from Rome had his backpack stolen by three thieves. It contained an intricate relic of blood, which had been taken from Pope John Paul II in 1981. T the relic was eventually retrieved having been thrown into reeds next to a nearby railway station.

Meanwhile, more than 50 Carabinieri, the national military police of Italy, are involved in a manhunt along with sniffer dogs around the church of St Peter of the Ienca, near Aquila, in the mountainous Abruzzo region, while according to the Osservatorio Antiplagio“a watchdog on media scams” – the vial theft could be related to Satanism.

The  blood was stolen (they claim) on the day “that corresponds to the dominium of the demon Volac”,  and  “Another factor is International Holocaust Remembrance Day, which prompts satanic rituals in preparation for the Satan’s birthday on 1 February,”

Volac – also Ualac, Valak, Valax, Valu, Valic, Valac – for those who have been neglecting their demonology, is the mighty Great President of Hell, having thirty ( some say thirty-eight) legions of demons under his command.

He is said to give true answers about hidden treasures; he reveals where serpents can be seen, and delivers them harmless to the magician. He can lead one toward a good job, a sympathetic friend. He also provides lucky numbers.

He is said to appear as a small poor boy with angel wings riding on a two-headed dragon. He moves fast,  flies very fast and usually departs through the ceiling.

More Volac trivia –

    Volac is a Night Demon
Zodiac Position: 5-9 degrees of Aquarius
    January 25th-29th
    Tarot Card: 5 of Swords
    Planet: Saturn/Uranus
    Candle Color: White
    Plant: Sesame
    Metal: Lead/Uranium
    Element: Air
    Rank: President

Never heard of Satan ever having a birthday… as an angel, wasn’t he created basically from kit form, not born ?  February 1st – well, February 2nd is Candlemas (or Imbolc to the celts) but has no Satanic connections I can ever recall hearing of.

Candlemas / Imbolc is accociated with the goddess Brighid (aka Bride), and it’s interesting to note that an old Scots gaelic rhyme for February 2nd has it that –

Moch maduinn Bhride,
Thig an nimhir as an toll;
Cha bhoin mise ris an nimhir,
Cha bhoin an nimhir rium.

or, in English –

Early on Bride’s morn,
the serpent will come from the hollow
I will not molest the serpent,
nor will the serpent molest me

Which kind of brings us back to Volac, who “reveals where serpents can be seen, and delivers them harmless to the magician”. No doubt pure coincidence, but an interesting one.

What any of this has to do with someone pinching a dead pope’s blood is anybodies guess….

Ghost ship with cannibal rats may head to Scotland

An abandoned Russian ‘ghost ship’ infested with cannibal rats may be drifting towards the west coast of Scotland according to salvage experts.

The cruise liner Lyubov Orlova has been drifting across the Atlantic for almost a year after being cut adrift by the Canadian government and now a Belgian salvage company have asked Scots sailors to be on the lookout for the vessel which is worth £600,000 in scrap metal.

Built in Yugoslavia in 1976, the 300 foot ship was abandoned by its owners and crew at the port of St Johns in Newfoundland in September 2010 after they were unable to pay a $251,000 debt.

Two years later the Canadian authorities arranged to sell the hull for scrap to the Dominican Republic but en route the unlucky vessel broke its tow line one day out of port and began drifting towards oil platforms.

When Transport Canada regained control of the Lyubov Orlova, it was then decided to tow it into international waters and abandon the vessel rather than continue the voyage. At the time a statement said that the vessel: “no longer poses a threat to the safety of offshore oil installation, their personnel or the maritime environment. The vessel has drifted into international waters and given current patterns and predominant winds, it is very unlikely that the vessel will re-enter waters under Canadian jurisdiction”

Pim de Rhoodes, a Belgian salvage hunter, who has twice set off in search of the vessel only to return empty handed, said the only occupants now will be hundreds of rats forced to eat each other in order to survive, and that the vessel must still be drifting as not all of its lifeboat emergency beacons have been set off. Mr de Rhoodes said: “She is floating around out there somewhere. There will be a lot of rats and they eat each other. If I get aboard I’ll have to lace everywhere with poison.”

> Why ? If they’ve been drifting for so long, eating each other, all that must be left by now is one big fat rat. A marksman with a rifle sounds like a better option. 🙂

Kris Abelshausen, a logistics manager with Mr de Rhoodes company, Seatec, said the vessel could be drifting towards the Scottish coast: “If anyone spots it we’d like them to let us know.”

Under international maritime law a vessel abandoned at sea can become the property of those who find it, however the owners can attempt to ‘buy’ it back. The Seatec team may choose to either sell the vessel for its scrap value or keep the vessel. Mr Abelshausen said: “It is a huge vessel, larger than the current vessel we have and Mr de Rhoodes is keen to track it down.”

However another possible scenario is that the vessel has already sunk. Last February the Irish Coast Guard spotted that one of the vessel’s emergency position-indicating radio beacons (EPIRB) went off approximately 700 miles off the coast of County Kerry. However two trips by spotter planes failed to find the ship. Yesterday a spokesman for the Irish Coast Guard said the vessel could have sunk in such a manner that not all the remaining radio beacons would have been activated.

A spokesperson for the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency today said the vessel last came to their attention last year and there was doubt that it was still afloat: “We have received no reported sightings of the vessel since April last year – and there is no evidence to suggest it is still afloat.

“Any ‘ghost ship’ entering European waters is highly likely to be reported, due to the large number of vessels passing through the area. We would then act accordingly.”

Daily Mail story about sunrises being shown on big screens in Beijing was made up

Pride's Purge

(not satire – it’s the Daily Mail!)

I’m well aware a blogpost about the Daily Mail making up a story is a bit ‘dog bites man‘ as far as news goes but I couldn’t allow this to pass unnoticed.

A few days ago a Daily Mail article went viral about Beijing residents having to watch fake sunrises on giant TV screens because the pollution there is so bad (warning – link to Daily Mail dross):

China starts televising the sunrise on giant TV screens because Beijing is so clouded in smog

Well no prizes for guessing the article was completely made up.

Here’s the full story from Tech in Asia:

No, Beijing residents are NOT watching fake sunrises on giant TVs because of pollution

Is it really too much to expect our newspapers to contain at least some real news?

An amusing postscript to this is a short Twitter…

A MAN who claimed he could could use his penis to rid a woman of ghosts that had taken up residence in her vagina, was arrested in China after performing the “sexorcism” for which he charged $3,000.

Huang Jianjun was arrested in the Guangdong Province after he convinced A Xin that he could remove evil spirits from her vagina by having sexual intercourse. A day later, Xin reported the incident to the police, and Jianjun was promptly arrested.ghost

The victim allegedly came to the self-styled “ghost hunter” because she needed help seducing her boss who she had a crush on.

Xin, an employee of a spice shop was so infatuated with her boss that she sought Jianjun’s help to seduce her employer. Jianjun said could help the two fall in love by performing an exorcism.

The pair allegedly met in a hotel room where Xin was asked strip naked. Jianjun then convinced Xin that he needed to have sex with her and that it was the only way to get rid of the evil spirits. He caimed his dick would banish the vaginal squatters who were preventing Xin and her boss from falling in love.

Jianjun insists that he never had sex with the Xin and that he can’t get an erection due to diabetes. He is currently in jail awaiting trial in Guangzhou.
